CONGRATULATIONS to new member, Phil Goodman! He is this month's raffle winner!,
SPWA thanks Bob for his fine contribution and congratulates the lucky winner, new member, Bobby Layne.
Southern Piedmont Woodturners got to enjoy the special skill and ability of member, Dwight Hartsell in one of his exquisite hollow turned vessels with pyrographic etching. Dwight applies a certain amount of heat using a randomly applied template and then applies a lower heat and hash marking pattern to create the smaller effect between the larger patterns. All markings are overlaid onto a balanced pattern of Ambrosia Maple wood. The overall effect is a stunning 9" X 5" vessel which raffle winner, Russell Williamson, is happy to add to his collection. Thanks you for your offering, Dwight; congratulations, Russell.
