REF Steve Martin: St. John's Lutheran Church, S. Union St., Concord, sponsors a Scout troop of about 10 boys.  Tommy Propst is the troop leader.  He has requested the SPW conduct 3 evening classes.  We would  have 3 CLASSES ON MONDAY, JUNE 1, 8, AND 15, FROM 6:30 TO 8:00 PM AT OUR WORKSHOP.  We would like to have each Scout complete 2 projects - a bowl and a pen, although a gavel might be an acceptable alternative.  He and I will provide the wood for the bowls/gavels and would like for SPW to provide the wood and kits for the pens.   Each Scout will be prepared to pay $10 for the pen kit.

I have club pen kits for this purpose does I'll also supply the blanks with the brass tube glued in place.

If you want I'll forward this information to the membership and we can get a few members to help out on those nights.

Let me know when and if you want it sent out. - VERN

Great job Steve, Thanks for doing this.

I will bring you some maple turning square that I have.

Maybe it will cut down on some expense. - LAN
